After extreme cold, January is now gifting the Upper
Gulf Coast with spring-like weather. But
this Texas gal, like many others, is a wee bit under the weather. No real complaint, but it’s been awhile since
I’ve felt like turning on my computer, much less putting binoculars around my
neck.
And then there is my car. It is also a bit under the weather,
including a slow leaking tire. I’ve been pretending it would heal itself each
time I medicated it with a coin operated air machine.
With seven year old tires, I’ve finally scheduled an
appointment to replace all four. New tires and an oil change; and then I’ll
hope for a lot more miles of trustworthy day tripping.
But for now, my car and I are sidelined to enjoy this
beautiful day from the home front. I’ve
got too much sinus psi; my head feels like it is going to explode.
My car’s tire has too little psi. I hold my breath as I
drive to the closest grocery store, feeding quarters into the pressurized air
machine the same way I’ve been feeding myself Tylenol.
Neither the Tylenol nor the pressurized air seem to
last very long.
But soon; really soon, we both will be on the road
again. But for now, we are watching from
the sidelines.
I hope both you and the car get properly 'pumped' up. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need some Retama recuperating time. Get well soon.
